New album from The Tallest Man on Earth this spring

The Tallest Man on Earth, otherwise known as Kristian Matsson, is a fantastic Swedish folk musician. He’s already released a selftitled 5-track EP, a beautiful full-length album by the name Shallow Graves as well as touring with Bon Iver.

To say we’re impressed with Matsson’s debut album is a massive understatement. He made one of the best folk albums I’ve heard to this date.

Suffice to say, we’ve been looking forward to a follow-up for quite some time, and we’ll probably end up fighting a while over who of us should get to review it.

Best albums of 2009

A great year for music has come to an end and, unlike most other people, we’ve managed to wait until the year is actually over to publish our lists of best albums. I mean, what if someone got the crazy idea of releasing an insanely great album a few days before new years eve? Not that it happened, as far as I know, but that’s really not the point.

Beezewax are (almost) back!

At the last day of October, I command every Beezewax fan to get down to Revolver to see Beezewax play an exclusive concert at their re-releaseparty for their first album, A Dozen Summits. For those not familiar with the band, I wrote an article about them not long ago.

After over ten years since it sold out, many still haven’t heard this fantastic record. The record is filled with hope, youthful indie spirit, great popsongs and much more. SellOut! Records decided to finally re-release the album so new young indie pop fans, like me (I was lucky enough to find it on the Internet though) can hear it.

Now what’s this? A blog about birds?

Why, hello there and welcome to this humble blog. If you haven’t just found this post way back in a seemingly endless archive, you can relax. This blog is new, fresh, straight from the oven and you are one of those few lucky (and really rad) people who’ll get to say that you’ve been reading that great birds something-something blog all the way since they started up.

Those few who had already heard of us weeks before we launched, are following us, fans on facebook and so on (thanks by the way!) might have been curious as to what this would look like, what the hell the name means, and what people are behind this. Your endless waiting and refreshing of the browser window is over!
