While we’re waiting for santa

11544_197004365745_177209825745_3918993_6726055_nDespite the lack of snow (at least here in Oslo), christmas is undoubtedly on it’s way. Many have probably bought themselves chocolate-filled advent calendars already or found some other way to try shortening the time until that fat dude dressed in red is supposed to squeeze down your chimney.

What I’m thinking though, is that some of you might feel that popping a piece of chocolate in your mouth or something each day is insufficient and would rather have the content of your advent calendars stuffed in your ears. Don’t worry, my friend. We’ve got something nice for you.

A bunch of nice people are putting together an alternative calendar stuffed with norwegian alternative music. All you have to do is click here and type in your e-mail address and name and they’ll drop a free christmas song in your inbox every day of december. Nice, huh? You can also check out the songs from the 2008 calendar on their myspace.

In addition to that I know that Tiger have a great offer for those of you that want more than one song a day. In fact, they’re selling packs of 24 CDs for 199 kr. that’s less than 10 kr for each CD, which isn’t bad, even if what albums you get is a surprise. If you’re in Oslo or nearby, you can visit the store and pick one up. If that’s not possible for you,  you can also order it here, though you won’t be getting it by 1. december when I’m telling you this so late, sorry.

This next thing doesn’t last the whole month, but Herr Nilsson are releasing their new single “December” as a free download over at herrnilssonmusic.blogspot.com. Will santa be offended if I tell him that I’m looking almost as much forward to this single as his visit?

That’s basically what I had, but if you know of more musical sweets to help us through advent then please tell us in a comment below.
