Birds sometimes dance is a Norwegian music blog mainly focusing on independent, alternative, weird, cute and obscure music.
We will strive to make our news, recomendations, reviews and other blabberings as subjective as possible; We don’t pretend like we’re being all objective and know what you like and think, we just show you what we like and tell you what we think about it.
Our main focus is on getting Norwegian independent music out to people. We do write a lot about music from other nations too, but it would be a real pity not to show the world how many great musicians this country has to offer, huh? You just have to dig a bit deeper than A-ha. Since we know how much of a bother that is, we decided to do it for you. Ain’t that nice?
It started out with this idea of making our own little magazine about music where we’d boycott all technical thingamabobs and only use HB pencils on blank paper sheets. We’d draw the logo and everything by hand on every copy and write every single article with our 100% authentic (and 100% butt ugly) handwriting. Then we’d run around putting these magazines in the mailboxes of people who don’t appreciate music.
Then we realized it would be a lot of work and that those people would rip it apart and throw it anyway, so we made a blog on the Internet instead. Now, even if you hate our opinions, you really can’t rip this magazine to pieces, now can you? (for you clever dogs out there with a printer; I dare you!)

Being the almighty editor and designer/developer of this website, André is a guy with a lot of interests and skills (true story). When he's not making websites or writing stuff for this site, he might be strumming his ukulele, walking around taking pictures of things or playing a videogame made before he could even walk, pretending to remember how it was when the game was new. There's nothing he likes better than to discuss something he has absolutely no knowledge of.
A rebellious lad who has a deep admiration for music and all sorts of stuff. One of his goals in life is to collect a load of strange instruments and play them to death while being the leader of an influencial political party. He has a profound love for challenging discussions and conversing with strangers who are open enough to let him. If anyone could teach him how to knit, he would really appreciate it.
A music geek who spends most of his time either listening to-, playing-, reading- or dreaming about music. He plays quite a few instruments, but his main instruments are piano and organ. He's a member of the hard rock band The Desibels as well as the blues band Capt'n Ahab and the Moby Dicks and his dream is to change the entire world's economic system while being a successful musician on the side.
An old fashioned music lover with a steadily growing collection of compact discs. Deems the physical format a necessity when it comes to owning music and not a big fan of spotify and similar services. Plays several instruments and has a theoretical background from high school where she studied music history with indie music as a specialty. If she was less shy she’d share her own music with you.
